Unlike some internet service providers which do very little to protect their clients. Surak Enterprises on the other hand ensures its clients are protected. This is achieved through security in depth.
Access to Surak's network is strictly controlled and all network packets are statefully inspected and logged. By the same token Surak's servers are also access controlled and all services are either encapsulated or isolated in their own unprivileged environment. Further more, each component of each server is monitored for unauthorised changes, instantly providing an alert and initiating a role back of any change. As a product of the combined network and server monitoring "unusual traffic" or potential probes or attacks are identified, traced and in the majority of cases reported either to the Service Provider concerned, or in some cases the Australian Federal Police as well as other computer security organisations in Australia and overseas.
In particular to client services, for example with email, Surak Enteprises incorporates mandatory scanning of email for both viruses and junk email (otherwise known as SPAM). Viruses which cannot be removed are rejected by Surak's servers. SPAM messages are identified and in most cases similarly rejected.
Surak Enterprises will also ensure that the client's computer and/or network itself is secure, by installing and configuring firewall services, virus scanners, routers and other security products. Surak Enterprises also provides security notices and recommended updates to client configurations as part of our service, not as an additional charge.
Surak Enterprises will always assist in the ongoing security awareness of our clients, enabling them to understand the hostile landscape the internet is today.
